Have you ever had a bottle of Bollinger Champagne next to the turquois blue of the Caribbean sea?
Then return to a cozy Inn for an afternoon massage on your porch, doze off in the hammock while watching the sunset dapple through the mango trees before heading to the oldest wooden house in the Caribbean for dinner on the verandah?
If you have not done this, I do hope that you will seriously consider it.

New Wines

Our new sommelier, Patrick, has informed me that it would be churlish if we did not have any Montrachet on the wine list.   As well as some of the old world classics we've got some new world discoveries.  Last night we opened a viognier from Uruguay and a Malbec from Argentina, then we watched a football game.

We've introduced several new dishes and the restaurant has become rather popular.
Coming soon...
The Hermitage fleet; two boats, a sailing sloop and a trawler yacht.  Two because some days you might like to sail and other days you might like to fish.

The Hermitage this winter...

Yes, it's true.  There is a general sense of timelessness in the Caribbean.  It's one balmy day after the other with only subtle changes in the wind and the sea to mark the different seasons.

Today the glass like Caribbean sea mirrors a cloudless sky.  2008 is off to a very good start for us.  Business has been great. We have seen the return of many of our regular guests as well as welcoming many new visitors to our Inn.

Welcome with a rum punch...

When you arrive at Hermitage Donna and Cadiler will be waiting to greet you.  These ladies have been at Hermitage for more than 20 years and play leading roles in our cast of characters; always ready, with a big smile, to practice their concierge skills, making sure that you are comfortable at the Inn and fit right into the island.

Lately quite a few guests have been taking advantage of our packages.  The most popular way to spend a week has been the modified Romance package.  Modified to include a few fine wines, guided tours, spa trips, and a few other little things that help make a vacation extraordinary.  The purpose of a package is to make your planning easier and your time on Nevis richer.

All of us here at the Hermitage look forward to welcoming you to Nevis.  Please let us know what further information or assistance we may offer.

with tropical regards,
